Our 24/7 Urgent Care Services, included with membership, provide a safe, convenient, and efficient alternative to the emergency room for non-life-threatening situations. Whether it’s a sudden fever, an unexpected rash, or another concern, our team is here to offer expert guidance and care when you need it most.
Understanding Emergencies vs. Urgencies
Knowing the difference between an emergency and an urgency is essential:
- Emergencies: Life-threatening symptoms, such as severe breathing difficulties, intense allergic reactions, or major injuries, require immediate attention. Call 9-1-1 or visit the nearest emergency room.
- Urgencies: These are situations that need prompt care but are not life-threatening.
How to Access Urgent Care
As a member, accessing urgent care is simple:
- Contact us via our secure mobile app or by phone.
- Use our secure mobile app to share details about your child’s symptoms, and include photos or videos if applicable.
- Our team will assess the situation and guide you to the appropriate care, whether through a telemedicine consultation, an in-person visit, or, when available, an at-home visit (additional fees apply*).
Please note that to ensure personalized care, each urgent care consultation is for one child at a time. If more than one child requires urgent care, separate consultations may be necessary.
When your child becomes a member, our urgent care physicians have access to their electronic medical records, allowing for seamless and efficient care. Your child’s pediatrician will follow up as needed to provide ongoing treatment and support.

- Eligibility: Urgent care services are exclusively available for minors who are members of Pravan Kids.

- Service Scope: Urgent care services for minors depend on the child’s age, condition severity, and physician availability. For infants or severe conditions, we may recommend seeking specialized pediatric care or transferring to an emergency room. Referrals to alternative facilities may also be provided if necessary.
- Home Visits: Home visits are available in San Juan, Guaynabo, Isla Verde, Dorado, Caguas, Gurabo, Humacao, and Rio Grande. Visits lasting over two hours will incur an MD Hourly Fee in addition to the standard charges. Additional fees may apply for diagnostic studies or therapeutic procedures deemed necessary by the physician.
