At Pravan Kids, our membership includes a comprehensive onboarding process to establish care with your child’s pediatrician. This ensures we have a complete understanding of your child’s health, allowing us to provide truly personalized, preventive care.
Onboarding Process:
- Virtual Meet & Greet with the Pediatrician (Up to 2 Hours)
- This session allows the pediatrician to review your child’s medical history and align on any previous care efforts.
- Initial Physical Evaluation (Up to 1.5 Hours, In-Person at Pravan Kids)
- The first 15–20 minutes focus on measuring height, weight, and vitals.
- Your child will then receive a full physical evaluation with the pediatrician.
- The visit concludes with a discussion of findings, where the pediatrician will collaborate with you to create a customized health optimization plan.
- Lab Work (Duration Varies, Done at Home or a Lab Facility)
Based on your child’s age and the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines, certain lab tests may be recommended. Our team will guide you through the coordination process and provide options for sample collection. - Virtual Lab Discussion Follow-Up (30 Minutes)
Once lab results are received, we’ll assist you in scheduling a virtual follow-up to review all findings in detail. This is the final step in your child’s onboarding journey.
The health optimization plan focuses on preventive care, which may include referrals to specialists based on screening results and guidelines.
For Newborns:
Since medical history is limited for newborns, their onboarding process is slightly different. Their initial check-in is typically in person and includes:
- Initial Neonatal Appointment (2 Hours, In-Person at Pravan Kids)
This session combines the meet & greet with the initial physical exam to ensure your newborn gets off to a healthy start. - Home Visit Option – Parents may also opt for a home visit for added convenience.

Our concierge pediatric care is offered as a membership-based service, however, you can still use your health insurance for services such as lab tests, imaging, and prescriptions, as these are often billed separately and submitted to your insurer. Our team is happy to provide detailed receipts or documentation to help you with reimbursement for eligible expenses.

We know that when your child isn’t feeling well, it’s important to understand where to go for the right kind of care. At Pravan Kids, urgent care is available 24/7 for members to handle any immediate healthcare needs. However, it’s important to understand the difference between urgent care and emergency care. Here’s a quick guide:
- Urgent Care Urgent care is for non-life-threatening issues that still need prompt attention. Our 24/7 urgent care team can help with conditions like high fevers, persistent coughs, ear infections, rashes, minor injuries, or stomach pain. Urgent care provides quick, convenient treatment and helps you avoid long waits at the emergency room. At Pravan Kids, our urgent care is available by appointment, with a fee for service at after-hours options if needed.
- Emergency Care Emergency care is necessary for severe or life-threatening conditions that require immediate, specialized treatment. This includes situations like difficulty breathing, severe allergic reactions, seizures, serious injuries, or any symptoms that are life threatening for your child. For these conditions, we recommend going directly to the nearest hospital emergency room, where they’re equipped for rapid, intensive care.
